Home ed Summer Camp 2022
This year we went wild camping with home ed chums at The Norfolk Brickyard and enjoyed the delights of Holkham.
We cycled to and from Wells on the Sea several times, enjoyed cycling through the estate of Holkham Hall. We toured the house and gardens of Holkham House - and grand building with an impressive art collection (Gainsborough, Michealangelo, Van Dyke to name just three) and an overwhelming entrance!
We visisted Felbrigg Hall and were lucky enough to watch a play in the grounds about the georgian residents of the house. The interior was an absolute delight and we spent a long time talking to the historians about several different aspects of both the house and its owners.
Both the beach at Holkham and the beach at Wells on the Sea were lovely and the campsite was just out of this world. We will definitely be back!
York History Trip
Absolutely amazing trip to York to immerse ourselves in history! Yorkshire Aviation Museum on the way up ... stayed in a beautiful suite of rooms at the Principal. We squashed in the ruined abbey, Margaret Clitheroe's house, the Merchant's House, The Adventurer's House, The van Gogh exhibition, Yorvik Centre, The Shambles, Clifford's Tower, walked the walls, spent time lounging in the pool and spa at the hotel and loads more ... someone book me another one pronto!
